I see you walking by the stars,
Holding your breath for the Sun to see,
For one life they say is enough for mortals like us,
Blood and bones walk the scorching earth,
Bleeding to find a space among the legendary,
Sometimes despair, the other hopes for light,
I see your face in these people sometimes,
Lost, waiting to be found,
Searching for their home,
That would eventually bring them peace,
Peace that would cure their internal storms,
And you could sleep easily,
For hours that you may desire,
No thought of what to do next,
What to become,
What further to sacrifice,
Just sleep with eyes closed,
Even on a floor made of stones……

Another amazing work Harsh!❤❤

oh my Kumar,
That was so beautifully penned, I felt I was there being washed out to sea resting and relaxing far and away from my everyday existence. Your poetic lyrics are gifts you bring to the world when you share your heart. Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you so much for the kind words Cindy. This is such a wonderful comment to this work. If I could make the reader feel a little of my own mind, i would think myself successful as a writer. Thank you so much. 😇😇

You’re most welcome Kumar. His work?
Yes, indeed that is the gift of a writer when they feel like you have written it directly to them! You do that brilliantly! ❤️

Kumar, Beautiful poem and imagery. ❤ I was not sure who you were addressing in the poem…a long-lost friend? Or maybe your readers? The last few lines about giving up striving and sacrifice were very appealing. I often have a racing mind and can't sleep, so that sounded peaceful and soothing to me. Enjoy your week! 🙂

Thank you so much Cheryl. Well you are correct in so many ways Cheryl. This poem started as I was remembering my old and loyal friend who I lost the previous year to illness. But it continued further with my own life experiences and the things that keep me up at night.
Thank you so much for reading and thinking about this.
Have a great week you too. 😇
